You beautiful buildings have such ornate windows, Tall brick exteriors and sad smoking Stacks on your rooftops. Though your insides are hollow. Nobody Sees your potential. They just see an Old building trying to rise Above an organized sewage system. Don't weep tears of mortar. I know you want life to flow Inside of you again. I know. There's no realtor for this type of Sell. Nobody to dust you off. Don't throw bricks at me! I don't know any more than You and battle my insides As well. You poor buildings. They went and gutted your insides now. Someone must love you again to Clear you down to nothing. To rebuild you. Don't be scared. I know you don't want to depend On anyone else but just sit back. Everyone deserves a break Now and again. Obviously they know you are Strong for they are helping to Repair instead of destroy you. Soon again you will work With your beautiful ornate Outside. Shining. Welcoming people In with that large grin and glimmering Eyes. That will be your day Your day to show how high You reach. That will be your day to Show how much life You have inside and let Pigeons rest on your wings.
