Wild Honey
The intemperate
Beastlike eye, the sun
Settles softly in the clouds.
This lazy orange,
Dragon eye stares
Down the corridors
Highway at me.
Distressed and ugly
I pretend not to be
Bothered by this
Constant judging.
Unimpressed I resist
Hollering in a fit
At the hollow sky.
Silently I wait in
A seated,
Meditative like state.
Awaiting for the seeker
Of my soul to take me
To that pleasant land
That is promised.
Fitfully waiting,
Face to face
With the seer
And the seeker.
Now strong enough
To observe and not
Brave enough to show I care.
I hide,
Under the grass, as you reach
Your gentle hands
Towards me.
They appear
Soft like young lips.
I circle like wild honey
To find the weakness that you seek
To destroy me by.
My hope
Is that we will never meet again.
My dream is that I was strong
Enough to meet you in my daydream.
fitfully waiting, protecting,
Refraining, forlorn.
